Today was a short day for me so I was determined to have a busy few hours. There were a few voicemails for me to check and pass along to Val, only one out of the three was a potential member. I took it upon myself to call the individual back and answered all the questions she had. She was visiting family for a few weeks and wanted to come try us out. I was able to get her to come in and take a quick tour and to discuss our policy in person and was happy to oblige. However, she was unable to come in today so she was going to have to come in tomorrow and speak to Val. The 15th was a pay day so the new coaching schedule was just finalized last night (created by one of the coaches) so it was time to print it out and make sure all the dates were correct and all the classes had a coach. If a class had no coach written to it I was instructed to find someone to fill in unless notified otherwise. The coaching schedule is printed and placed in a binder under neath the front desk so all the coaches can check it periodically. This binder also has all of the old schedules and time sheets so if there is any question regarding their pay or when they covered they can look in the binder for confirmation. It just so happens that this binder has seen it s day so I ran out to staples to purchase a new one. The company card was used for the binder and some new pens as ours seem to always walk away. One aspect of purchasing items for the business is to always keep a copy of the receipt and file it away for tax season. It is also is important to do this for personal records and to keep track as to when items are purchased and how often. Running to the store and back gave a nice new perspective for the day, but certainly took me away from the box. There has been a need for a new binder for a while so Val was happy I was able to go since she hasn't been able to get to Staples in the last few weeks.
